This page outlines some of the key technical skills and business skills that I have picked up through the course of my career.
I have been working with Genesys since 2001. I have strong technical skills and presales skills with Genesys.
I am extremely proficient with writing SQL queries using Transact SQL. These are often used for writing reporting queries or queries/stored procedures used by other applications such as Genesys URS. Most of my experience is with Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL.
In the first half of my career, in particular, I spent a lot of time in Excel. I have written a lot of Excel tools using Visual Basic for Applications. I have been referred to as Macro Man and the Excel Guru by colleagues.
I design database schemas for custom applications which I develop for my web application hobby as well as provide advice to colleagues developing custom reporting applications using SQL databases.
I use HTML when I develop web sites and web applications and I have been doing this in my spare time since 2008.
I use MYSQL as the RDBMS for most of the web applications that I develop with my web development hobby.
I have experience with PHP but these days I use PHP through the PHP MVC Framework CodeIgniter.
I use CSS when I develop web sites and web applications. I don’t profess to being very creative or much of a “designer” though!
I write a lot of proposals for Contact Centre solutions and I am told often that I am very good at writing them.
I write technical documents such as Solution Design, Functional Specification and Client Acceptance Test documents quite often in my current and previous roles.
I write/respond to many RFI, RFQ and RFP documents for Contact Centre solutions and I am told often that I am very good at writing them.
I have been involved in many tender response teams over the years. We always hear very positive feedback from companies about the quality of our tender responses.
